In his own handwriting, Thomas Lovewell lists the names of his children and gives their dates of birth. The year he gives for the birth of his son William Frank is in disagreement with most other family sources, but a birth announcement in an 1877 newspaper item reveals that Thomas was right. Every answer regarding his marital history is some sort of fib, although by the time he filled out this pension form his first wife was indeed dead.
