Jones in the McCarthy Building

"The McCarthy hardware was situated next to the Mercantile, carrying a complete line of hardware, furniture, stoves, and farm implements.  In 1901 McCarthy bought the Club Building to house buggies and wagons.”     (From “Formoso: The Tracks of a Town”)

Part of Shedden’s Drug Store can be seen on the left edge of the picture, a piece of the Mercantile is on the right.  The McCarthy building changed hands often in the town’s early years.
