A daughter of Professor Joseph Taplin Lovewell, Marguerite Lovewell was an operatic soprano who often gave concerts in her hometown of Topeka, Kansas. After moving to Mount Vernon, New York, she was for several years a featured soloist at the First Presbyterian Church.
